Frequently Asked Questions

Questions women ask about perimenopause, emotional eating, GLP-1 support and rebuilding trust with food.

  • Perimenopause affects hormones, metabolism, appetite, energy, sleep and stress response. Many women notice that the strategies that worked in their 20s or 30s no longer work the same way. This is not simply about willpower or “eating too much”. Your body is changing physiologically, and your nutrition approach needs to change with it.

  • Yes. Many women come to me because they feel frustrated by weight gain, cravings, low energy or feeling out of control around food. My approach focuses on metabolic health, hormonal changes, eating patterns and sustainable habits, rather than restrictive dieting or quick fixes.

  • No. I work with clients online across the UK, as well as in person at Key Osteopaths Clinic in West Byfleet, Surrey.

  • I provide structured nutrition support for women using GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic, Mounjaro and semaglutide. This includes helping you support muscle mass, energy, protein intake, eating habits and long-term sustainability alongside the medication.

  • No. My work is not based on rigid meal plans or short-term dieting. Instead, we focus on understanding your body, improving consistency, rebuilding trust with food and creating realistic nutrition strategies that fit your life.

  • Eating psychology looks at the relationship between thoughts, emotions, stress and eating behaviours. Many women feel stuck in cycles of emotional eating, guilt, restriction or loss of control with food. We work on the behavioural side of eating alongside the physiological side.

  • Yes, and this is extremely common. Many women blame themselves when the real issue is a combination of hormonal changes, metabolic shifts, stress and learned dieting behaviours. My role is to help you understand what is happening and create structure and support that actually works for your current stage of life.

  • Not at all. I work with both women using GLP-1 medications and women who want support with perimenopause nutrition, emotional eating, metabolic health or sustainable behaviour change without medication.

  • The free check-in call is a relaxed conversation about what you are struggling with, what has or has not worked before, and what support may be most appropriate for you. It is designed to help you feel understood and give you clarity on the next steps.

  • No. Weight loss can happen, but it is not the sole focus. The priority is improving your relationship with food, supporting metabolic and hormonal health, improving energy and creating sustainable change that feels realistic long term.
